Before you found us

Most people arrive here after a bad appointment somewhere else.

You were told force was necessary

Someone held the animal down to finish the nails, and you were told that is simply how it is done with a dog like yours.

Your dog came home wound up

The cut was fine. The animal was not. Fearful, anxious and newly adopted dogs are the ones this goes worst for.

You never saw any of it

The animal went through a door and came back an hour later, and you took somebody's word for what happened in between.

None of that is inevitable. It is a decision about whether the appointment is allowed to take the time the animal needs, and this shop made the other decision. The reviews here describe hugging a frightened dog until the nails were done, and three days of messages before a nervous one came in.

What people write afterwards

The reviews keep naming the same person.

Shared an image of before and after. My border collie was recently adopted and was in really bad shape. He is fearful and anxious as well especially with nail clipping and electric shaver. They managed to groom Lucus without much trouble or stressing him. He came out with a fully refreshed look. Was communicating with Ah Rong for 3 days to share information prior and I must say the team is really patient and friendly and helpful. Their grooming bookings should be back to back and they probably can only house 1 or 2 dogs at a time for grooming, so punctuality is essential even for us customers.

Even though I live quite far from this groomer, I always make the effort to bring my dog here because the service is consistent and exceptional. The team has been able to advise me on the patcare needs and also produce excellent grooming results. The one element that genuinely impresses me is their cares for the pets in their charge. I've witnessed firsthand the patience and attention they take in their work, which gives me complete peace of mind every visit. A special mention to Ah Rong and her team for their dedication and professionalism. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a groomer who truly puts the well-being of pets first.

Very nice pet shop and groomer in the neighborhood. 1st time sending our pup here for grooming and I must say they really really did a great job. Our gal has become so pretty with her new cut. They also handle ur doggies with utmost care and gentle. Will return for sure and recommend.

How an appointment actually goes

Six things that are different here, and why they matter.

None of this is a slogan. Each one comes either from the shop's own published grooming card or from something a customer wrote on Google.

01

The animal sets the pace

One customer had been told elsewhere that some force was necessary. Here her timid dog was hugged and allowed to lean in until the nails were done, and no force was used at all.

02

Talk to us before the visit, not at the door

A recently adopted border collie who was frightened of clippers and nail work was messaged about for three days beforehand, so the team knew him before he arrived.

03

One or two at a time

This is a small shop, not a conveyor. One customer worked out that they can probably only house one or two dogs at a time for grooming, and that bookings run back to back.

04

The size your animal actually is

Grooming is quoted on the animal in front of us: real size, coat condition, temperament and the styling asked for. One owner arrived expecting to pay the large rate and was charged the medium one.

05

Rabbits and guinea pigs too

Rabbit and guinea pig grooming has its own section on the shop's own price card, alongside the cat and dog lines. Small animals are not an afterthought here.

06

The grooming room has a glass wall

The room where the work happens sits behind glass off the shop floor, so it is not somewhere your animal disappears to.

One dog in particular

A newly adopted border collie who was frightened of clippers.

Lucus had just been adopted and was, by his owner's account, in really bad shape. He was fearful and anxious, and worst of all with nail clipping and the electric shaver, which is the exact combination that goes badly in a busy grooming room.

What happened instead was three days of messages before he ever came in, so the team knew what set him off before he was standing on the table.

โ€œThey managed to groom Lucus without much trouble or stressing him. He came out with a fully refreshed look. Was communicating with Ah Rong for 3 days to share information prior and I must say the team is really patient and friendly and helpful.โ€

Not only grooming

A proper pet shop on the way home.

The front of the shop is retail, open the same hours as the grooming room, every day from 10am to 8pm. Food and treats, litter and bedding, shampoos and grooming products, leads, harnesses, bowls and toys.

One customer put it plainly: a very nice pet shop and groomer in the neighborhood. That is the whole idea. If you would rather not carry a sack of food home, there is a Shopee storefront as well.

This groomer (Ah Rong) is truly exceptional! Even our timid dogs, who have always been anxious during nail-trimming, were handled with such care and skill that it was a pleasant surprise. Unlike previous experiences where I was told that some level of force was necessary, this groomer's approach was a breath of fresh air. Her patience was remarkable as she tried various techniques, including hugging and allowing my dog to lean on her, to complete the trimming session without any violence. They are also operating a very honest business. As my dog is chunky, I usually make appointments stating her size as a large breed and was already prepared to pay for basic grooming for large breeds. Yet, they charged her as a Medium size since she supposedly belongs to the Medium size group. I really appreciate their integrity in this matter. I live quite a distance from them, but I would totally go back to them for all future grooming sessions! Thank you very much!

First-time pawrent sending our furkid Maple for her very first grooming session. Chanced upon Pawdy House and decided to give it a try after seeing all the good reviews and being so near our house. After our own experience, it is indeed as good as what all the reviews have mentioned. You can really feel the love and care for the little furkids from Ah Rong. The moment she carried Maple in her arms, we knew that we have found the right groomer for her. And we are extremely happy with the outcome ๐Ÿ˜Š
